Round 7

We start round 7 with another Friday night game. This isn't just any game this is when our senior men's team take on Ballarat for the Alby Kinna cup! Let's hope we can bring it home! The game is at Trekardo Park @ 8:15pm Friday night. Let's try and get a huge crowd down to support the boys in this big game.

Senior men's

Forest VS Vikings

Toughest match in the fixture on a beautiful night at home under lights. Vikings showed why they are undefeated in the league completely overshadowing us with aggression, pace and football class. Several opportunities came our way when we started to settle into the game, but we couldn't convert any chances. Promising signs to take into our cup game next weekend.

Senior women's

Forest VS Vikings

This week the womens team took on Sebas Vikings under lights. Nerves were definitely abound within the girls and they fought hard in the first half with a great through ball from Jacki to Tiarlah who then popped a through ball to young Lily who placed it nicely in the back of the net. Unfortunately this would be the only goal the womens secured which was unlucky as they fought hard all game but unfortunately came short and a bit tired during the second half losing 1-10 at full time to the away team.

This week the girls look to take on Ballarat with a good chance to take on the win.

Under 15's

Daylesford VS Forest

It was a positive start with our side maintaining the majority of possession in the first half, with Simon Neville-Ireland pouncing on a loose ball from Daylesford’s keeper to go in 1-0 up at the break.

Similar to the first half, Forest came out strong and put Daylesford under the pump, going 3-0 up within 15 minutes thanks to a well timed volley from Simon Neville-Ireland, and we’ll placed finish from Logan Green.

Unfortunately complacency set in and Daylesford were able to work there way back into the game from some excellent play down the left hand side. Taking the game to 3-3.

Simon Neville-Ireland made a blistering run down the right hand side to slot in his seventh goal in 4 matches and complete his hat trick, to bring the score back to 4-3. However Daylesford we’re able to overrun our exhausted side in the last 10 minutes bringing the end result to a unfortunate 4-5 loss.

A lesson learnt from our young team, who eagerly await there clash with Sebastopol Vikings this weekend.

Under 13's

Buninyong VS Forest

Forest came out fast putting Buninyong under pressure from the start. Forest had put all their training to use and put on a great fight. With a solid defence and a few missed opportunity up front we went into half time down 1-0. Coming out strong in the second half Forest saw themselves unlucky conceding 2 penalties and making the final score 3-0 win to Buninyong. So many good things to take from this game and heading into the next.
