Round 5

Round 4 saw another week full of fantastic results from a range of the Forest teams. Round 5 kicks off early again with a big match for the senior men’s team, facing off against North United @8:15pm FRIDAY NIGHT, at Russell Square.
Senior Men’s
Vic Park VS Forest
A slightly disappointing result on a rainy night filled with strong efforts that had plenty of progression tactically and physically. The squad played some fantastic football only to end up getting overrun by a late burst of goals in the second half to end in a 4-4 draw
Senior Women’s
This week saw the women have a bye. Bring on round 5
Under 15’s
Forest VS Ballarat
With an injury to top goal scorer Simon Neville-Ireland and a late withdrawal from centre back N’eto, the Under 15’s faced a tough opponent in Ballarat Soccer Club. Early nerves saw a top class save from returning goalkeeper and captain Tiarlah Anstis, as well as a crucial block from late entry Jakayah Ford, to keep the score at 0-0 coming into half time.
The second half saw a more calm approach from the home side with Lachlann Marinus opening the scoring l, sliding the ball past the keeper after a sensational through ball from Mytheas Porter. Tiarlah Anstis saw plenty of action within the last 10 minutes as Ballarat through everything they had moving forward, but our goalkeeper was in top form, keeping her second clean sheet in as many games this season.
Under 13’s
For the first time since their first game, the under 13’s had a full squad with a couple on the bench. After a few hard weeks with results, everything they had been working hard on at training came out in a fantastic game.
