Round 18
With only two rounds left the countdown till the end of the season is on.

Senor men
Forest VS Ballarat
Not even the horrendous weather could stop our momentum in the second half against Ballarat. The confidence and freedom caused by a barrage of goals let us play to our potential offensively, and sealed a fantastic result as we approach the end of the season. taking the win 13-1.
Senior women
Forest VS Ballarat
Friday night last, the Senior Forest women played against Ballarat. Luckily for this week, the women had a full team of 11 players however there were still no substitutes for this game. Despite enduring tired legs and the cold friday night, Leah scored the first goal in the first half with amazing assists from both Tiarlah and Lily. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the Ballarat team was able to bounce back with a goal of their own. The women regrouped in the second half, changing the formation of their back line and midfield and were able to score another goal with a great cross from Claire to Tiarlah to finish it off. With only a couple minutes left in the game, Tamekha made an amazing save stopping one last attempt at goal from the Ballarat women and moments later, the whistle was blown. Our Forest women were able to secure a 2-1 win.

Vikings VS Forest
With testing conditions in the heavy rain, Forest played a fantastic game coming up against Viking who sit in 2nd position on the ladder. Forest held Vikings off for most of the first half before they managed to pop one in the back of the net. This didn't stop Forest, they came out fighting managing to snap a brilliant team goal back. Unfortunately Viking snuck another one in just before the whilstle to get the win.

Calling all volunteers
September is just around the corner and that means soccer finals! Whilst this is an exciting time for those teams who manage to make it, it is also a huge and exciting time for the club to make some much needed money! With out clubrooms being built as we speak, we will need all the money we can get to kit it out with style! Forest this year are responsible for finals on the 11th (Sunday) and 17th (Saturday) of September! The 11th we will be in charge of running everything, this includes; the canteen, providing ball collectors, ground marshals, ticket collectors and more, so it will be all hands on deck. The 17th of September (grandfinal day) we will be running the canteen and with a huge turnout expected we will need a lot of volunteers. If you have any time available for either day or both of those days can you please get in contact with someone from the club so that a roster can be organised. This is a huge opportunity for the club but we need help to ensure that we can get the most out of it! Thank you in advance from the Forest Committee.
