Round 14
Forest would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and donated to our big Forest social event, it was an amazing night and showcased that Forest isn't just a club but a family!
"For there's not a team like the Forest Rangers"
Again for round 14 our soccer weekend starts early, we kick off with our two under 9 teams facing off head to head on Thursday night at home (Wendouree west) with Kick off at 5:15pm. This is followed up with anoyher big night, as we have our under 13's play Friday night at 6:15pm, closely followed by the Senior men who play Friday at 8:15pm. The rest of the teams will battle it out Sunday! Rug up in your Forest beanie, scarf and jackets (or purchase some at the clubrooms) and brave the nights cold weather to support our teams Thursday and Friday night, then back that up on Sunday!

Round 13
Senior Men's
Forest VS Vic Park
A brilliant result with an undermanned side against a team vying to stay in finals contention. Patience, intensity and discipline alongside some fantastic keeper work allowed us to get a great home win and give Buddha an appropriate final game before retiring.
Senior Women's
BYE
Under 15's
Daylesford VS Forest
This week the Under 15’s took on Daylesford SC. The first half was not our greatest performance of the season but there were positive glimpses as both Simon Neville-Ireland and Jack Boyd saw there shots fly just wide of the post. Daylesford led 3-0 at the break.
The second half saw much improvement from our side with Logan Green and Ebony Tyndall stepping into to steady a very shaky defence. A well timed goal line clearance from Logan Green saw Mytheas Porter get on the score sheet from our best passage of play for the game.
Forest continued to be a threat, with Jack Boyd creating plenty of chances on the right hand side, however we were not able to turn around the first half deficit and lost the game 4-1.
Under 13's
Ballarat VS Forest
We went in with an undermanned team, finding ourselves with only 10 players to put on the park! Despite being a player down for the game and having no subs on the bench, unlike Ballarat who were relentlessly subbing 4 players at a time, Forest dug deep and played a cracking game. With a new found positive attitude and exceptional teamwork, Forest were able to get to half time only one goal down (2-1) after being rewarded a penalty. The goals did not stop there, a cracking team goal in the second half brought the final score to 4-2 loss, whilst the overall results are disappointing, the team left with their heads high after a well fought game.

Up and coming events
Calling all volunteers September is just around the corner and that means soccer finals! Whilst this is an exciting time for those teams who manage to make it, it is also a huge and exciting time for the club to make some much needed money! With out clubrooms being built as we speak, we will need all the money we can get to kit it out with style! Forest this year are responsible for finals on the 11th (Sunday) and 17th (Saturday) of September! The 11th we will be in charge of running everything, this includes; the canteen, providing ball collectors, ground marshals, ticket collectors and more, so it will be all hands on deck. The 17th of September (grandfinal day) we will be running the canteen and with a huge turnout expected we will need a lot of volunteers. If you have any time available for either day or both of those days can you please get in contact with someone from the club so that a roster can be organised. This is a huge opportunity for the club but we need help to ensure that we can get the most out of it! Thank you in advance from the Forest Committee.
Our new clubrooms in the making...
