Round 11

We are now over halfway through the season, how time flies when you are having fun!

Reminder -there are no games 3rd of July for any age groups.

Round 10

Senior men's

Daylesford VS Forest

Lots of resilience on show as we earned back a draw after squandering a 2-0 lead going into the second half. Improvements with patience and discipline up front earned us plenty of chances and leaves us in a productive spot to finish out the final half of the season.

Senior women's

Forest vs Creswick Maroon

This week the girls took on Creswick Maroon at Creswick. The girls moved well from the kick off working well to play their own game but struggling to make anything of it within the first 25mins. A great cross in from Tiarlah was hit in by Jacki to get ahead 1-0 at 29mins. The first half continued with plenty of tries on goal and amazing crosses to end 1-0. Second half was much the same as the first with the girls trying there best upfront to get some shots in goal. Unfortunately at 53mins in Creswick got through the defence and snagged their first goal. Plenty more chances for the girls who continuously kept their heads up and in the 80th minute that came for Holly who smashed it in the net after a few tries. The girls won the game 2-1.

Under 15's

Forest VS Bacchus

This week the Under 15’s took on an enthusiastic Bacchus Marsh side. A first half hat trick from leading goal scorer Simon Neville-Ireland and a powerful long shot from Mytheas Porter saw us lead 4-1 at the break.

Unfortunately complacency set in in the second half with Bacchus Marsh brining the game back to 4-4 early on in the second half. A disappointing result, but a lesson for the young side.

Under 13's

Vikings VS Forest

The team came out hard and fast instantly putting Vikings on the back foot. With a missed opportunity to take the lead, Forest then had to fight hard the rest of the game to keep Vikings well drilled team out. Unfortunately, despite a huge push from the defence line and hard work from all players, it wasn't enough to stop Vikings from getting through and scoring, going into half time 4-0 down. Forest came out strong and held Vikings out for 20min of the second half, before conceding 2 more quick goals, one right before the final whistle, going down 6-0 to a well played Vikings.

We need your help!!

Forest will be running a Bunnings BBQ on Saturday the 2rd of July 9:00-4:30. These are always a great fundraiser for the club (helps to keep all our costs down to make playing accessible for everyone) and we often find ourselves run off our feet with the amazing support by the community with their want for snags in bread. Therefore, we require lots of help to ensure the day runs smoothly and the workload is spread around. If you have any free time on this day (can be as little as an hour) and wouldn't mind helping out, please contact us via our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/forestrangerssc. If you do not have any spare time you can still give back to the club by coming down and enjoy
