Anton's family is deeply engaged with Creswick Soccer Club, and the concept of competing for a perpetual trophy in Anton's honor stemmed from their close ties with Creswick SC and our relationship with Creswick.
Without hesitation, we enthusiastically agreed to this idea for the long term. The inaugural match between Forest Rangers and Creswick in the division 1 competition will now compete for the prestigious Anton Cup.
The first fixtured match between Forest Rangers and Creswick in the division 1 competition, would play off for the Anton Cup - assuming it is fixtured at the other clubs venue as the previous year.
The Anton Cup has spent many years at both clubs, without a one sided domination. Each year the cup is played, it's guaranteed to be a good match!
